Makes : 8-10 medium size Patties
Time : approx 45 minutes
Ingredients
- 3 raw small bananas (boiled until soft)
- 2 small boiled organic potatoes
- 2 tbsp grated fresh ginger and garlic
- 1 small onion finely diced
- 1 fresh green chili finely chopped
- 1 tbsp tahini
- 1.5 tbsp flour / oat flour
- 1 tsp salt
Note: Extra chickpea or flour for dusting the patties before cooking.
Method
- Pressure cook or boil raw bananas until tender. Peel the skin off and mash it in a large bowl.
- Now add two with skin potatoes. Mix the two well.
- Now add all the remaining ingredients until well combined.
- Heat an iron skillet over medium heat.
- Meanwhile, use a tablespoon or an ice cream scoop to make round patties out of the banana mixture. Dust some chickpea or oat flour on top of each side of the patties.
- Grease the iron skillet with some oil, now gently place all the patties on to the pan. Let it cook for 7-8 minutes or until brown.
- Gently flip and repeat the process. It takes approx 20-25 min to get brown on both sides. Adjust the heat as per your need.
Once partially brown on both sides , these patties are ready to serve. Lay them on top of grated beets and carrots. Add some green chutney or dips of your choice and enjoy!
